How ChatEngram works

1. Install — Start in seconds

• Add ChatEngram from the Chrome Web Store
• Grant minimal permissions (read-only)
• No signup, no login, no cloud services needed
• Immediately begins working in the background

Design principle: You should not need to “manage” ChatEngram. It just works.

The base extension works without an account; creating a ChatEngram account only unlocks Pro features and the 30-day trial, and does not change that your conversations remain stored locally on your device.

2. Capture — Chat on any AI platform

ChatEngram automatically detects and records your conversations from:

• ChatGPT
• DeepSeek
• Claude
• Gemini
• Perplexity
• Grok
• And more platforms coming soon.

Behind the scenes:

ChatEngram watches for message blocks in the DOM, cleans formatting, identifies roles (user/assistant), and stores everything locally in a structured, query-friendly format.

You don’t have to press any Export button. Your memory grows automatically.

3. Index — Create a unified AI memory

As each conversation is captured, ChatEngram:
